I made a trip to the MAC store in the mall to pick up a few things and one of those things was Goldenrod. It is a beautiful golden yellow color with a matte finish. I get home and put it in my bin with all my other eyeshadows. I then start poking around on Instagram and see a look done by the great Alexandra Butler. The look in question is one she did on Rasheda for Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. You know the one from the reunion show, with the yellow, orange and brown eyes. I absolutely loved the look but seeing that I didn’t have a yellow like that, I decided to pull out goldenrod and make it work.
